Gluten intolerance is a disease that is transmitted genetically and it can seriously affects the digestive system. It is not known at present which is the exact number of people who have this disorder, but there are suspicions that the number of patients would be even ten times higher than current estimates. Gluten intolerance is not easy to diagnose and require the passage of many years to detect whether a person is without fault or not this disease.

Gluten is a protein that can actually meet in most cereals (wheat, rye, barley, oats) and therefore often by eating bread or breakfast cereals proves dangerous for people who have gluten intolerance, but were not yet detected the disease.

There are cases where you can develop allergies to certain cereal products, but will not be involved here the intolerance , but an allergic intolerance to deal differently and have other causes. Therefore it is not easy to diagnose gluten intolerance.

Symptoms for gluten intolerance can include abdominal cramps, diarrhea, development and growth problems in children, loss of appetite and menstrual disorders in girls and adult women. Small intestine can not absorb fats and vitamins so some will not be processed properly.

For children who have not been diagnosed, risks are much higher than in the case of adults who had better luck and managed to grow satisfactorily.
