Egg allergy-allergy symptoms, allergy treatment

The yolk or whites of eggs is a substance hwo is harmfull for the body and is causing an overreaction of the immune system.The immune system reacts by creating specific antibodies to that food, this antibodies fight with the “invader.” These antibodies(immunoglobulin E (IgE) ) release some chemicals into the body, one of which is histamine .

Egg allergy is most common to children. Most children have a egg allergy by the age of five, but some people remain allergic for a lifetime.
Diverse reactions of egg :
* of the skin – hives, eczema, or redness and swelling around the mouth
*of the gastrointestinal tract – diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting
* of the respiratory tract – itchy, watery eyes, and sneezing , coughing and wheezing.

The egg allergy provokes a severe food allergy reaction – anaphylaxis and this emergency situation is requiring immediate attention and treatment with Epinephrine.
