The most common allergies


The causes of allergies are not yet fully known. It seems that the environment where the child grows in first year of life plays an important role. But we know what are the most common allergies types:

Asthma: A whole set of factors may lead to an asthma attack: cigarette smoke, viral infections, pollen, dust, animal dander, cold air, changing weather, movement and even stress.

Hay fever: Despite the name, the hay isn’t the common cause of the disease and don’t even appears. Pollen from plants of the season are to blame. Approximately 90% of those suffering from this form of allergy are allergic to grass pollen.

Food Allergies: Any food can give allergic reactions, but the most common products that trigger allergies are eggs, milk, peanuts, soy, fish, flour, peas and shellfish.

Atopic dermatitis: It is a chronic skin inflammation and occur in 60% of cases in children under one year. Food allergies, the contact with air allergens and sweat can make the situation even worse.

Urticaria: A person in four has this form of allergy. The causes are often unknown, but cases are usually viral infections, food allergies and medicines.
