Penicillin allergy

The most common cause of drug allergies are penicillin antibiotics. A penicillin allergy provokes an allergic reaction that occurs when your body’s immune system overreacts to penicillin antibiotics.

If you have an allergic reaction to penicillin you should receive another antibiotic therapy. In this type of therapy, you start taking small amounts of the penicillin and gradually increase how much you take.
